Raised Salt Painting - Salt Drawing Underwater World

The basics are simple! Take a simple drawing or coloring page. Draw lines with white glue, so a glue pot with a narrow nozzle is most useful. Sprinkle salt on top. The excess salt falls off. Then color the salt lines with watercolor! Tap the lines with a brush (dipped in watercolor) and the salt slurps up the paint.
These squids, starfish and fish are made for after-school care. Kim made these salt drawings with the children!
TIP: When dried, spray with HAIRSPRAY! Then the salt grains will no longer fall off and your workpiece will stay beautiful longer!
