My young adults and I always try to find ways to spend time together.
We take walks, go grocery shopping, and cook dinner together, to mention some things.
Recently, my daughter and I assembled a couple of Booknooks, and my son often helps me out with projects.
Lately, the kids suggested that we should read together.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as they say. My daughter loves reading, while my son reads but not with much enthusiasm.
Nevertheless, we have decided to read together for an hour every Sunday.
I am reading Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments by T.L. Huchu.
I liked the book from the beginning, but it hasn't pulled me in. And I can't wait to start reading my next book.
My daughter is reading the second book in a duologi (I think). House of Roots. So far she seems to like it.
My son is reading De nieuweling, written by Taran Matharu.
They are all fantasy books. Will post an update after we have finished reading them. 📚
