The one-third devil (222 of 666) progresses steadily during the dark days before Christmas. I was shocked that it is often too dark in the morning to be able to plan longer distances before I am expected to work, but with my days off and other times, I think that the #DuivelseUitdaging is certainly a feasible one. An overview so far.

In addition, my interpretation for the fifteen. Out the door just after the morning rush hour to avoid cycling schoolchildren. A crystal clear morning with around 8 degrees is doable in terms of temperature. First warm up towards the Binckhorst and then go full along the Vliet in the direction of Delft. This time, I chose to walk on the other side of the water to get out more smoothly at the turning point and halfway back I took a small trip across the industrial park, otherwise I wouldn't get to the target 15.

The pace and time were great, walked quietly and enjoyed the morning sun and the silence around me. The latter was a coincidence; I usually use earbuds with music, but for some reason they weren't fully charged, so I was without them from three kilometers away. As I said, that didn't spoil the fun.

From Rijswijk via Kijkduin through the dunes to Monster, along the beach back to Kijkduin and back home, it appears to be a thirty route - my longest distance in this challenge. Scheduled again on my day off and with quite a few altimeters (60+), due to the dune landscape, I can still maintain a reasonable speed up to about half. Made it through the last few kilometers purely on character with the clear devilish goal in mind. Set your mind to something and then set your mind off and not resist any objections you encounter along the way.

Many cyclists were spotted especially around Monster, and to and from the beach really only enjoyed the environment that you see changing step by step, in terms of neighborhoods, the amount of greenery, infrastructure, shops, activities and the diversity of population.
