Requiem: Chapter 50
Goro Fukamizu had the result in his hands and yet he almost could not believe it. That's why he double-checked. He was surprised, all the pieces of the puzzle coincided and formed a clear picture. The first step he then took, when he was convinced of his analysis, was to track down the transponder of his suspect.. He localized his prey and then moved to the next part of the procedure.
With the remark 'URGENT' that he added to his message, he summoned all the people involved in the case. The new deputies, all the inspectors and security officers who had cooperated in the case of the Akai murders β even though that title was now obtainedβ gathered in the conference room in the shortest time.. With the accuracy that was his own, he presented his findings. There was no room for doubt, everyone read the report that he had sent to their memo block in seven haste.. Now all of them knew who the serial killer was! How could they have been so blind? The mood became grim in the room, people were struck in the head because the solution was so in front of the grabs. A simple query, part of a database, had given them the outcome. The grimness of the security personnel was due to the name that appeared in the perpetrator profile. A bleed on their blazon. Now Goro had looked into his own bosom just like Norino Vastai and found the snake that had deceived them all.
The assignments were given. Goro knew where the killer was at the moment. He had no intention of informing his superiors at this point. This was not only a waste of time, but it was a calculated risk. How far was this cancer spread in the Security Service? Under whose protective wings all this could have happened? Someone had held his hand over the guilty and looked the other way. Goro Fukamizu already had some ideas he wanted to test. But they should wait, these were problems for later. First, the killer, the perpetrator they had been looking for for so long had to be caught in the act. Then Goro and his team would get him the thumb screws. So hard that he would crow like a cock like it would never be tomorrow!
Several people armed to the teeth left with their black blinded autobots. Goro arranged a line on his behalf. In his function he was able to obtain this with a simple coded message to the traffic centre. No strange autobot would hinder their vehicles on this road. How could he have fooled himself?
