That prayer is for Kalle and Pietje a nice stepping stone to the next course evening. The devil is real and he doesn't sit still. He certainly comes into action when God moves in someone's life. Something that obviously happened during the Alpha Weekend.
The devil wants to destroy our lives. For that, he uses things like physical and mental pain. Pietje realizes that years of rejection and abuse in her young years have severely weakened her mentally. That there too the door to the devil is sometimes wide open.
