Review: Crazy You by Pam Lijdsman

When you see the beautiful cover of Crazy You by Pam Lijdsman, you want to know what the two people on the cover stand for. One has something watery and the other something spooky about them. It's like two people coming from two different planets. You want to read the text behind the blue person, you want to know what it says. In any case, it is clear that the word “Love” is there. You therefore get the feeling that it is a novel that you are going to read. The title is curious, you want to know why someone says “crazy you” to someone else. The title quickly becomes clear in the story and then it appears to be the nice title for the book.
In Pam Lijdsman's Crazy You, the protagonist ended her relationship after ten years. To the outside world, she seems like a strong and independent woman, but in relationships she is dependent and insecure. At one point, she falls in love with an asylum seeker she gets into a relationship with. It is a relationship where a lot happens and where the protagonist gives a lot but gets less than they should in a relationship. This makes her think and looks for herself and what love is.
