Anyone who thinks that only Bollywood movies are being made in India is wrong. This year, the Indian series Delhi Crime won an Emmy in the drama series category. In 7 episode the true story of solving nauseous group rape told by the eyes of the police.

A young woman and her friend, after a night out, get into a bus with 6 men, unsuspecting. The friend gets a slap and the girl is taken to the rear part of the bus where she is horribly raped and mutilated by the 6 men. After the rape, both are thrown naked before death along the road after which they still try to run them over. This case occurred in 2010 and attracted attention not only because of the exceptional atrocity but in particular because of the rapid and adequate action of the police.

The director Richie Mehta, also writer of the story, did not have much interest in the story at first, but after having had access to the police reports and had several conversations with those involved, he decided to make a film about it. However, he had so much material that it eventually became a series of 7 episodes in which police work is closely monitored and given a glimpse into the conditions that we can imagine in which the police in Delhi have to work. Not only the good sides are highlighted, but also the influence on the agents themselves and on their families, the limited financial resources with which they have to save themselves, the extremely dangerous conditions in parts of India, the problems posed by agents who want to go to court.In addition, there is also a small role to play for politics which try to exploit and exploit the incident and functioning of the police in order to achieve their own goals in various ways.
