When you see Guido Vermeire's beautiful cover of How GOD GREW, you already get an idea of what kind of book you're going to read. The title makes you curious about the book. The subtitle clearly states what you can expect from the book. The choice for the cover and title quickly becomes clear and you can only conclude that they have chosen both the cover and the title well.
In How GOD GREW by Guido Vermeire, the author gives his view, his vision of religions in general. He discusses some well-known religions, including Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam. He comes up with facts, such as that wars are wrongly waged in the name of God or another worshiped religion. The author regularly makes you think about various topics, such as death. The author wants people to think for themselves through this book without just believing and doing everything a religion says. At least what people say in the name of a religion, even though it's often not the case, but that's what they've made of it, when the reality is different, that GOD is not a hateful thing, but pure love.
