We were going to look at ice sculptures in Scheveningen. And in that hall it would be -15 degrees Celsius.
I knew from last time that shooting without gloves was not an option (ice fingers), but I couldn't use my camera properly with gloves. Just searched the internet to see if gloves were available for photographers. And yes, thermal gloves with touch pieces on the fingers.

There is a considerable range available, from cheap to (mega) expensive. In principle, I mainly needed the gloves for that one time, so spending a lot of money was not what I wanted or wanted to do.

I found on Bolcom one size gloves by All4Less. Touchscreen, zipper, fleece, waterproof, unisex. Sounds good, not to say: ideal! They cost 1450 euro (including shipping costs) and were delivered quickly. Just put on the gloves. Yes, they just fit. Only the touch pieces of the left glove are slightly rotated, so they are not handy. Fortunately, I'm right-handed and the pieces are fine there! The gloves are a bit short at the wrist. Easy to fix by wearing a jacket with cuffs:)

Anyway, the fact that I got warm hands at home was no proof that they are really as good as claimed. They were, as it were, baptized by fire. Although ice baptism applies more here, lol.

I never had cold fingers inside the ice hall and was able to operate my camera with ease. My mother and brother had cold hands leaving the sculptures, while my hands stayed nice and warm (without getting sticky).
