Reviews/Samsung Odyssey Neo G9

The gamer world is full of many things that are very attractive to look at. But of all, nothing surprised me like this success of the Samsung brand in terms of monitors is concerned.
The Odyssey Neo G9 is a monster in quality, and performance.
It's a super ultra-wide gaming monitor with a 49-inch screen and a 32:9 aspect ratio, which features Mini LED backlighting, allowing you to be brighter and have greater control over local dimming.
In fact, it has the best local dimming we've seen on any LED-backlit monitor, as it competes with that of televisions and helps show deep blacks. Since it's a gaming monitor, it has a high refresh rate of 240 Hz.
It is a large monitor with an aggressive curve, with black borders on the front and a white panel on the back.
The bracket is also black but has a white panel cover for cable management. It's mostly plastic with a little chrome around it.

It has a great build quality. It is mainly made of plastic, but the stand is made of sturdy metal and holds the screen well considering its large size.
Due to the super ultra-wide format, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 has acceptable ergonomics. You can adjust the height, tilt it or rotate it a little, but obviously you can't rotate it in portrait mode.
It's mostly white with a bit of texture and black piping everywhere. There is a ring that lights up blue where the holder attaches to the screen. Cable management is done through the bracket and there are covers on the bracket and back panel to keep the configuration clean.
