#Weetjenog Rin Tin Tin was such a popular movie star that he received mountains of fan letters and even got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1932, the animal died at the age of 14 (according to legend in the arms of Jean Harlow). His owner had the animal reburied in his homeland in the pet cemetery near Paris. Other German shepherds continued the film series under the same name for years to come. From 1954 to 1959, the American television channel ABC also ran a series of television around the animal.
