De rookstoel, zoals deze stoel vroeger genoemd werd, stond in menig woonkamer. Het was een stoel waarin je kon relaxen en genieten van een ‘lekkere’ sigaar of sigaret. De rugleuning kon je naar achteren zetten op verschillende standen. Mijn opa en oma hadden er ook een in de woonkamer. Naast de stoel stond een staande asbak van chroom met een drukknop. Als kind vond ik de drukknop altijd razend interessant en ik drukte er vaak op. Het schijfje tolde dan heel hard rond en een vreselijke stank steeg omhoog je neus in.
