If I am in the neighborhood and have the time to myself, it is a good idea to take a walk on the estate Roygebotstaete.

When I walk the first path I see quite large insects flying. If one of them lands on a tree, it'll sit for me for a while. It looks like a mosquito, but much bigger. On the species bank, I think it's a beak fly.

The chestnuts are in full bloom.
To be most likely to spot some butterflies I choose the paths that are sheltered and in the sun.

And soon there is an orange tip fluttering along. It's not my best picture of these beautiful butterflies, but to brighten up this blog it can go through with it.

An even smaller butterfly keeps fluttering when it's a while I can take this picture. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to open the wings. I suspect it's some kind of tensioner.
