Rusty mood lights
Are you fond of old things and rusty decorations? Then you can easily make them rusty yourself!
Glass jars can not naturally rust, that is clear. But do rust paint on glass jars, that is possible! The paint that gives a rust effect on all kinds of surfaces can be easily applied with a sponge, a sponge roller or a brush. The rust paint package we used here contains a jar of rust paint paste, a patina to give accents and some sponges. So you can give all kinds of things a rust effect with it!
Empty jars we all have in our house, so as a try we started with a glass vegetable or jam jar. But on a tray, a sculpted image, wooden, papier-mΓ’chΓ© or styrofoam shape, of course, it is much more fun.. Or make a rusty vase, key rack, table, bowl, mirror frame, etc! On glass it may not be very exciting, but let's just see it, so you know that it can also be done on glass. The gold colored patina is included in the set, but you could also buy green patina or blue paint, for an even more rusty effect! And do you think it takes centuries? That's what you're wrong, because you'll have this rust effect in at most an hour!
With painting tape (paper adhesive tape) we made some edges so that there is no paint. Remove the adhesive tape after the paint has dried. But first you sponge some extra color (patina) on it.

You can apply the page directly with a sponge, but the rust effect is better and more beautiful if you mix the patina on a plate with the paste! We only read this in the description afterwards, but yes, then the gold-colored patina was already on it:).
