S/M stands for sadism and masochism
S/M stands for sadism and masochism.Sadism in the modern era is about delivering consensus and often extreme sensations that some call pain. It's not about controlling or hurting. In fact, often S/M should not be applied during a scene, as the Top (not necessarily a Dominant) must be aware of what the Sub (not necessarily a Submissive) is going through and is sometimes led by the sub to ensure safety.
Let me also say right away that this is not a relationship that is for everyone. An S/M relationship is one of the most intimate relationship styles there is. An S/M relationship also requires more trust than in any other relationship. Well, I'm not kind of a big expert on this kind of thing or I'm not in a relationship like that at the moment.
