Sardinia day 21: Archaeological sites near Arzachena.
We stay not far from the cityArzachena- Yes. On the trips through the town, we saw signs to some archaeological sites. Since it's our last day around here, we decide to explore some of them on the road betweenArzachenaandLuogosantulie down.
The first place we stop (4 euros per entrance — possibility to buy several combination tickets at a more favourable rate) is a place where a tomb is located.
Tomba the Coddu Vecchiuconsists of a burial chamber built over an existing tomb dating from the 18th to 16th centuries BC. Everywhere onSardiniayou will find traces from the nuraghe period (16th to 12th centuries BC). At that time, a series of man-high stones were placed which form the entrance to the burial chamber in a faint arch. Once the burial chamber was completely covered.
