Sausage potatoes

Salchipapas, or salchipapa, is a street food known in several Latin American countries for being very easy to prepare and quite economical, since it doesn't have many ingredients and it's done in a short time if you have everything ready. It is very popular in countries such as Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. It's ideal when you have a craving for fast food, but don't want to leave the house or order from outside.
It is perfect as a starter or as an aperitif to hang out and watch a movie with friends or family, it is served hot and, recommended, consumed immediately, since after a while the potatoes lose their texture and the sausages get too cold.
Ingredients to make Salchipapas:
2 units of medium potatoes
3 units of sausages
1 tablespoon of mustard
1 dessert spoon of ketchup
a pinch of salt
a pinch of pepper
250 milliliters of frying oil.
Wash the potatoes very well, peel them and cut them into short strips. Preheat oil over medium-high heat in a high pan or skillet.Wash the potato pieces with water and dry them very well with a paper towel or absorbent cloth. It is important that they are well dried when frying them.Throw the potato pieces in the pan when the oil is very hot. Fry for 5 to 8 minutes or until they start to brown, the texture of the potatoes in this dish is softer than crispy so don't toast them too much.Cut sausages at a steep angle for a more entertaining look.Boil the sausages in water for 5 to 10 minutes, when they inflate they will be ready. Strain the water very well so that the potatoes do not get wet when integrated.Gather the potatoes with the sausages and stir a little, serve with sauce on top or on the side to spread. Your sausages will be ready to share and enjoy!
