See us go
It actually has something wonderful. To look like that from above. Like a giant looking at the earth.
I do it regularly. Then I'll grab my drone with camera and fly tens of meters above the ground. I find it fascinating. To see the movements of the people. Each one follows his own route. And that has something comical. To see that one goes to the right and the other to the left. That one goes away and the other in the opposite direction. As if all of that makes perfect sense. And then the different kinds of movements. One keeps going up and down between the same places, the other drives a round. Or more. Another makes wandering movements. One goes fast, the other slow. And some stay in the same place for a long time.
Sometimes the 'dolls', as the people seem from above, stay together for a while. To continue their own route again. It's a beautiful reflection of life itself.
It's actually like looking at a group of insects and observing them. Not knowing why they go that way or do what they do.
In the morning, the dolls begin to move around the streets, across the earth. It becomes busier and busier, and in the evening the movements decrease. Until it's pretty quiet in the night. It's almost like some kind of script. With all extras in a movie with no protagonist. Where the whole film for the day is already known. The movements seem obvious. As if for each doll it is already established which movements he will make that day. It's funny to watch the footage as a movie. Fast-forward now and for a while, to stop, to play back front. Or watch in slow motion.
