Las reglas son muy sencillas.
Si al lanzar el dado caes en un cuadro con la imagen de la base de la escalera, tu personaje avanzará automáticamente hasta el tope de la escalera. Pero si caes en un cuadro donde está la cabeza de una serpiente, tu personaje se deslizará hasta la cola, haciéndote mover hacia atrás en el tablero. El primero en llegar al cuadro con el número 100 será el ganador.
