Sexism comes from the pits during the elections
Ten percent of all tweets to female politicians contain hatred or aggression . In this tour they respond: 'Girls are told not to talk. Have no opinion. Because we know where to find you. #elections #politics #sexism
This week De Groene Amsterdammer publishes the results of a survey conducted by the weekly magazine together with the Utrecht Data School on the amount of sexism that female politicians get to understand. The magazine also questioned twelve prominent politicians, from right to left. They point out the sneaky of sexism: whoever talks about it is a whiny and a bad loser, who keeps silent about it denies that it is a factor of significance.
The winner in numbers of aggressive and hateful tweets to her address is Sigrid Kaag: over 13 thousand in just under five months, one every quarter. A woman with aspirations of power who has worked abroad and is married to a foreigner who has an Islamic background and comes from Jerusalem: 'That's about the worst, 'says Kaag in De Groene.
A little later I see how De Telegraaf announces a podcast analyzing the election campaign: 'Dress Kaag van pepperduur Máxima-brand.'

Het is absurd wat er allemaal rond gaat aan persoonlijke verwensingen. Het gaat echt nergens over! En zo'n # is eigenlijk al oproepen tot haatdragende reacties! Goed dat er tegengeluid is!
