SHATTERED [25] - a The Twilight Saga Fan Fiction

Hannah's 13th birthday had been ruined. It was my fault again.

My aunt Alice had made sure that the party would be a great memory for Hannah and her new friends. But I had destroyed it.

The minute she blew out her candles and the cake had been cut, her friends noticed I wasn't eating. They probably had seen how skinny I was.

"Hannah, your mom is a freak! Look at her!", they laughed, before leaving and announcing that the party had sucked anyways.

Hannah looked at me with disgust. I would never forget this look. She approached me and did the most disgusting thing a girl could do to her recovering mother.

She threw her piece of cake in my face for the shock of the rest of the family and screamed, her voice full of shame to be my daughter:

"Why can't you just eat?"

And she ran upstairs to her new room, a gift from the whole family, leaving us all to wonder why would she do such thing, understanding my condition and seeing how I was recovering.
