Shipwreck Beach without tourists. How is that possible?
We are on day 4 of our vacation in Zakynthos, Greece. This day we're going to take a boat trip to Navagio Beach, also known as Shipwreck Island, to see the wreck of the famous ship with the mafia story behind it.
Then we will also sail to the Blue caves and Xigia Beach.
You can read the story below on a link.
At 7:15 in the morning, armed with a nice lunch package from our Porto Koukla Beach hotel, we leave for the stop where the bus will pick us up at 7:30am. After picking up even more Dutch people from various hotels and apartments, we drive on to Zakynthos city where we get on a big boat that will sail us first to Navagio Beach. On the northwest coast. About 2 hours of sailing.
On the way, it's a breath of fresh air to sail along the coast. Just a little too far away to take nice photos. However, we already see a part of the Blue caves. On the way back, we will sail closer.
