It was the news of the day: at night there would be a rain of shooting stars. Beatriz had never seen a shooting star, but she did know that when she saw it, she could make a wish and it was fulfilled.
School started in a few days and Beatriz was worried about her six-year-old sister, who didn't feel like attending her first day of school. She was sad because she wouldn't see her little friends and scared because her cousin had told her that they only left you a lot of homework and that learning to write was a mess.
Beatriz tried to comfort her by explaining to her that she would learn by playing, and that many of her little friends from kindergarten would also go to school. However, her little sister was still scared. Beatriz decided to look at the sky until she saw a shooting star appear. She trusted what her grandfather had told her about them, because grandparents never lie.
