Shooting Sunset - Lesson 24 Yoors Photography Course
Setting sun, or rising sun
That setting sun, with the beautiful colours that are different every 5 minutes. How do you capture it nicely? The camera gets confused with lighting conditions, so we need to help the camera a little.
Preparation
- Before you go out, it's good to prepare. What places do you have beautiful view of the undergoing sun? (West in Northern Hemisphere).
- Is there overcast expects? That can produce very nice pictures. Of course it's a shame if the cloud is so thick that you can't see the sun at all.
- Make sure you have the time take, possibly bring a chair. Sunset is a process, not a moment. The time for the official settime up to an hour after sunset also gives beautiful images.
- Take a tripod along. You often work with slow shutter speed so the ISO value doesn't have to go up too much.
Camera Settings
In front of the camera, the light information is difficult. Focusing via Auto-focus (AF) gets tricky. Your camera may choose a very high ISO value, which will show you grainy blur in the photo by Ruis.
