El Simurg

El Simurg es el símbolo persa de la perfección.

Literalmente , significa “Treinta pájaros” y alude a una antigua leyenda oriental.

En el siglo XI, el escritor Farid Uddin Attar elaboró una hermosa alegoría al respecto titulada “El Coloquio de los pájaros”.

Se podría resumir así...
Cansados de la anarquía impuesta por el Concejo de las Aves, todos parten en busca de El Simurg, su remoto rey, del que solo han contemplado una pluma.
Muchos perecen en la travesía y otros desertan.
Solo treinta pájaros llegan a la montaña donde habita el Simurg. Allí lo encuentran y descubren que el viaje los ha purificado y que el Simurg son ellos...

En lo personal me parece una increíble y fascinante historia y es una de mis favoritas. En especial es la que comenzó mi amor hacia la Cultura Persa
