Single parent. you are not alone. In Belgium, there are almost half a million people who raise their children alone. So they are only responsible for taking care of their children, but also making decisions, solving unforeseen situations, putting food on the table and making ends meet, because everything also ends up financially on that single parent. It becomes especially chaotic when there is no immediate solution to an urgent situation.
Most of the time, you also did not consciously choose to become a single parent. It has often just worked out like this, and that means that you need to be able to make flexible turns to be both parent 1 and parent 2.
So today, you can remember that being a single parent requires an enormous amount of effort in many areas and that it is not the intention for that single parent to be completely alone.So, single parent day is THE day to shine a spotlight on the strength, determination and achievements of single parents, and it doesn't matter if you're a full-time single parent or not.
