Who is Cliff Richard ☺️ Cliff Richard (born Harry Rodger Webb, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, 14 October 1940) is an English singer and actor. Since being knighted in 1995, Cliff Richard, originally a stage name, is also his official name. Born in Lucknow, India, Harry Webb chose his stage name in 1958, and his first song Move It was actually the b-side of a cover, namely the song Schoolboy crush, but Radio Luxemburg chose this side and it ended up in second place on the British charts. In 1999, he scored his last number 1 hit in England with The Millennium Prayer. He has been on the Dutch and Belgian charts in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.

His career was inspired by Elvis Presley in the early years. His support group was first called The Drifters, but because there was already a band with that name in the US that The #Shadows .
