Solitary Confinement
In the coming time, I'm going to lock myself in my tikhok, as I call it. A nice room upstairs where I can tap in peace, yes my second book. The working title for now is “Last Chance” and is about ruse and deception, where a murder has not yet been ruled out. The story is already taking place partly in my head and the loved ones around me are again slightly disturbed by all the notecubes and their loose leaves. These can be found from the kitchen table to the toilet and even worse in the shower. Crazy place, hey? And also so clumsy, to write down a boulder design with wet hands. So I do now, just pick up the memory recorder on the phone, which is ready before I get in the shower. The fact of the matter is that I always and eternally get in the strangest places. Often just when I fall asleep. write down quickly and wake up an hour or two later and still go back in my tick house to work it out further. Go to sleep hours later and be tired the next day and continue. The fridge is full of vitamin bombs to stay on your feet. Healthy eating is a must now!
It's not really as lonely as the title says, because my dog Snoopy is faithfully sleeping near me and the cat Micky who sometimes sits loudly to get in here and then takes a nap on another chair. Furthermore, I see people during this period, but not as much as it would be normal. That is a disadvantage of it. Yet I have to set my goals and have worked them out on paper, a real schedule that I really need to stick to. This is because I want to participate in a manuscript contest whose deadline is April 30, 2020, if my own publisher wouldn't want to publish this book. By the way at the publishing house, I'm having a party this month, so go and check what he thinks about it. If he wants to, then I'll include an editor who reads with me right from the start and changes where necessary. That's going to be a lot faster. If not, I would like a proofreader who will share her or his findings with me. If you feel called and have a bit of experience, you can introduce yourself to me.
What am I asking of you now. Right, a bit of 'support' I can use that every now and then in the coming months, I think.
