Spirituality is the knowledge that everything is essentially energy, the realization that we are energetically connected to everything around us on a personal level, and the realization that through that energy we can influence everything around us.

Attract and Repel

The energy that makes up everything (including ourselves) is electromagnetic. That means that the energy we radiate (emitting is a better word, especially if you are aware of it) attracts similar energy and implicitly repels energy that is not in line with it.

Beliefs and thoughts

So the beliefs you have about yourself and the world around you, including the people who play a role in it, and your thoughts based on those beliefs, consist of electromagnetic energy that you are constantly emitting. Because that energy is electromagnetic, it will create the conditions and attract the people who are compatible with that emitted energy so that you physically experience what is going on in your mind.

Visualize

Worrying and doomsday (experiencing worst case scenarios in mind) thus attract situations you don't want to be in and attract people you'd rather not see in your life The average person is particularly good at this, making them a life both in thought and in reality ( continue to) lead (suffer), precisely because of that worry and doomsday thinking, without fundamentally changing anything about it.

Hope it works out someday makes no sense, because nothing changes anyway (which also makes sense).
