Telltale Signs Of A Realized Person

My students have asked, "Sir, what are the telltale signs of a person who has understood the temporariness of this material world, who has realized the futility of pursuing material desires?"

Well, a realized person sees the temporal world from an altogether different perspective. This has been excellently explained by the renowned poet, Mirza Ghalib, in the following couplet :

"Bazeecha-e-atfal hai duniya mere aage.
Hota hai shab-o-roz tamasha mere aage".

Translation: To me, this world now seems like a playground for small kids.
Day and night, I amusingly watch the juveniles performing childish activities.
