Spring flowers in a rabbit

When spring comes, you also want to get the spring flowers in your home. What could be more fun to put them in a rabbit flower pot! A rabbit with a hollow, waterproof flowerpot in its back, that's pretty funny! Only, you'll still have to decorate the rabbit yourself! You can buy the papier-mâché shape, but then it has no color, no eyelets and no decorations. We just do that ourselves, and live out with (chalk) paint, Decopatch paper and glue, ribbon, bows and of course wiggling eyes.

Please note, the choice is huge but that makes it very difficult to choose! We thought that at least, to choose which pattern to use on this hare. Because there are so many nice spring sprints, in yellow, green, pink, purple, orange, etc.. But luckily we have chosen and this bunny is now the turn to model.

First, paint the parts that you are not going to paste. You can also just cover the whole hare with pieces of paper, hear. With a soft brush, a single layer of this matt chalk paint is really sufficient, it thinks perfectly and dries quickly. So you almost do not have to wait before you can continue decorating like a hare.

Tear off some small pieces of your (thin) paper beforehand and glue them overlapping with special napkin glue (Decopatch glue) on the base. The glue is also lacquer! As you may see, we have also done a thin layer of lacquer over the paint. With that, your matt chalk paint still gets a shine. But maybe you like the matte look better. You can choose not to paint it off, but lacquer ensures that you can easily wipe it with a (slightly) damp cloth. If you want to keep it matte, you can also finish with (extra) matte varnish !
