Start of a series of short stories: South Africa
Last week I indicated that I would like to start next year with a January Challenge in which we try to contact someone inside or outside Yoors. Through the eyes of that person, you're going to create one or more posts. In this context, I started making contact. Because why should this depend on a challenge?
I believe that making contact with other Yoorsies and writing on the basis of that is a form of connection.
So I have chosen South Africa for this. Over the past few weeks, I have had more and more exchanges with a number of people from this country. First about a giant of a tree: https://yoo.rs/garden-the-tree-was-here-first-1607756100.html?Ysid=122391#reaction4463437 and later on the connection, historically between the Netherlands and South Africa.
Coincidentally, these two posts are related to the same person, but I see more and more people from this country here on Yoors and I have been more touched by the posts I see coming from there.
In between, for example, on the basis of a number of posts about Namibia, I also exchanged with @marijke So here's a call to all the Yoorsies from South Africa.
