The unsurpassed Follow The Money immediately popped into Floor de Jong's file, and to no one's surprise, the farmer from Krimpenerwaard appears to collect tons of subsidies. From 2018, his company received 434,151 euro agricultural subsidy. Nearly 83,877 euro of that was intended for “climate and environmentally friendly farming practices.“We kid you not:

The farm has grown into a mega farm, with 500 cows and 1,800 pigs. In comparison, an average farm has more than a hundred cows. De Jong received almost half a million European agricultural subsidies over the past seven years, according to website data Follow the Money. This puts him among the 3 percent best-subsidized farmers in the Netherlands and, according to the site, he receives six times more than the average farmer. De Jong's turnover is around 35 million euros.
