Stop shooting stray cats in Friesland
Cats that run away, can't find their way home after an anxious flight, are abandoned or dumped bluntly, don't always end up in an animal shelter. They have to survive on the street. These cats feral and often join other stray cats. Wild individuals or groups can cause 'inconvenience' or be seen as a threat to birds, for example. In the province of Friesland, people are the only ones still holding on to the idea that shooting these animals is the solution.
That can and should be done differently
Friesland is the only province in the Netherlands where hunters are allowed to shoot stray cats. A bizarre practice that has long been banned in all other provinces. Sign the petition and call on Friesland to stop shooting cats!
