Writing stories using storycubes.

Storycubes are dice that can help you write a story. Each dice of a set of storycubes has six fantastic sides. Six sides that can challenge your creativity in writing. I also regularly use these storycubes to stimulate my imagination in order to further develop all my existing stories and to start my not yet existing stories.

Suddenly I came up with a magnificent idea. Why not connect a challenge to this? A challenge that can bring us to writing together? A challenge that will stimulate and challenge your imagination to further shape your stories? Isn't it great if we can do this with like-minded people?

The challenge:

Every Friday I post a first story I wrote using the storycubes. Of course I also post a picture with what I have rolled in signs. It's up to you to come up with a story with the characters I rolled in that week.

You share your message with the #storycubeschallenge and you also mention your link under my message. I am curious about your stories of course.

You guys in?

3, 2, 1. In my mind, I've been counting away for the last few seconds. Every day, punctually at 4:00, my aunt Mia called. Today I somehow felt extra excited. Maybe it was because it was today. I didn't know so well.
Tring... Tring... I was startled by my thoughts and looked at the clock. Yes, it is, punctually 4:00. That was supposed to be my Aunt Mia. Indeed, it was my Aunt Mia.
Did I get her ticket in the meantime? I could read it now. I had indeed received it, but where did I put it again?
I felt my cheeks turned red with shame. I couldn't tell my Aunt Mia I lost her ticket.
While I was trying to keep my Aunt Mia on the phone, I searched every possible hiding place in my room. Where could the map be?
Suddenly I realized I put it in the chest of drawers with lock. That's why special things always went. Luckily, I didn't have to look for the key, it was hanging around my neck.
I told my Aunt Mia I found the map. I was allowed to open this now and read it to you.
I felt a kind of tension. As I read the card, I almost felt my Aunt Mia's impatience. The impatience for an answer. I just didn't know what answer to give my Aunt Mia. She wrote me the following:

Dear Francies,
Congratulations on your 16th birthday. Now you're a lady, a lady who can handle the world. I'm sure no challenge stands in your way. Hence this gift. A parachute jump. Are you up to this challenge?
Love your Aunt Mia.

I honestly had to swallow three times. Was that really there? Did my Aunt Mia know me less well than I thought? I just had a very strong connection with her, at least.
A fire flared up inside me. Was this anger to my Aunt Mia? Was it misunderstanding? Or perhaps an intense desire for challenge?
I eventually chose that it would be a challenge and took the leap.
