It is common for an adult to suffer from stress, even seen in children and adolescents, but if we don't control it can be really negative for health, even if many do not believe it or don't know it. Day to day, work, school, chores, children, family, not everyone can or deal with all this work without feeling at least a little stress, pressure, worry, it affects us all, it is inevitable. What can we do is try to control the levels of this. That's why I want to share with you the consequences of excess stress and some ways to combat them.
Physical symptoms of an elevated stress level may differ in each person, but the following are some of the most common:
*Low energy/fatigue
*Headaches
*Stomach upset (including diarrhea, constipation and nausea)
*Muscle aches.
*Chest pain.
*Fast heart rate.
*Insomnia.
*Colds and common infections.
*Loss of sexual desire and/or ability.
*Nervousness and shaking.
*Ringing in the ears.
*Dry mouth.
*Difficulty swallowing.
*Tightened jaw and grinding teeth.
Most people are aware of the emotional changes they may feel when they are stressed, but other symptoms may also include:
*Feeling annoyed, frustrated or moody very easily.
*Feeling overwhelmed or out of control.
*Inability to relax.
*Low self-esteem.
*Feelings of hopelessness, uselessness or depression.
*Avoiding social coexistence.
How can we treat, control and reduce stress
Although it is impossible to avoid stress completely, there are many steps you can take to reduce the effects of stress on your mental, physical and emotional health.
An easy way to ensure that your mind and body stay strong enough to deal with stressful situations is to take care of your body by exercising at least 30 minutes a day. Your exercise routine doesn't have to be very intense, just take a quick walk.
There are many small steps you can take to control your workload, stay organized and above all prioritize your well-being. Set goals and divide tasks into small projects to make it easier for you to achieve them and be able to delete them from your list once you achieve them. Don't commit to doing more than you can and choose to focus more on celebrating the things you've accomplished rather than worrying about things you haven't done yet.
