Summer in France - day 21: the vultures at Rémuzat and Saint May
We are impressed by the many birds of prey we see circling here occasionally. We heard that at Rémuzat you can definitely spot vultures at the Roque du Caire, so we're driving there today.
It's more than an hour's drive. We take the smaller roads, because there is always something to see.
We drive a few times over the river Roanne. The water is just a small stream over the boulders of the soil. It's crystal clear.
We drive through small, typical French, remote villages. It's always nice to have a terrace there. We have time, because today we have only one goal: the vultures. If you have time, you'll see a lot of beautiful things along the way. Especially if you take the smaller, slow roads.
Arriving in Rémuzat, we install ourselves with our picnic at the picnic area just over the bridge. We have a good view of the Roque du Caire and soon we see the vultures circling around it.
