I have both in my living room. Sunshade for the patio doors and screens for both windows. Screens were mainly done in front of the windows because the windows can be tilted in warm weather and we can keep the pests out. My preference is really the sunshade, you see more and is also cooler because it keeps the sun more away from your windows.
@marijke So if I understand you correctly, you also think a sunshade works better than a screen.?
Sunshade, and preferably such an old-fashioned '50s modei that folds out from above.
