Hace ya 15 años, cuando uno se asomaba por la ventana en las noches, las luces brillaban amarillas con mucha intensidad, irradiando mucho calor en el ambiente debido a los bombillos incandecente ; en el 2006 se implemento a través de la Misión Revolución Energética y la política de sustitución de los bombillos incandescentes un cambio por bombillos fluorescentes, en Venezuela comenzó a verse azul sus noches, ese otro matiz daba un aire mas fresco a la ciudad, Este ensayo tuvo su giro, pues tales bombillos eran muy contaminantes, nuestro pais lamentablemente no posee una cultura de manejo de productos toxicos, ni de reciclaje, el vapor de mercurio que estos bombillos posee es muy nocivo para el ambiente y los seres vivos, despues de proporcionar a la población por mas de 5 años. Para el 2013 se toma la decisión de sustitución por otro tipo de disposivos ahorradores como los Led que son mas duraderos y amigables con el ambiente, tales bombillos eran otorgados a la población sin costo alguno, cambiándose los que estaban en la casa por estos nuevos.
La política de sustitución no se mantuvo en el tiempo, ni tampoco se busco estrategias menos populistas que permitiesen la adquisición para su eventuales sustituciones, esto esta trayendo como consecuencia el regreso de las bombillas incandescentes

It is right the yellow bulbs tend to give heat and they are not very good, those of white light that the government dono are of better quality but every change we are going back in everything now to get a bulb like this is not accessible to buy and we have to return to the yellow bulbs.
