In Venezuela in 2006, the policy of replacing incandescent bulbs with fluorescent bulbs was implemented through the Energy Revolution Mission, our country began to look blue in its nights, that other nuance gave the cities a fresher air. This test had its turn, because such bulbs were very polluting, our unfortunately does not have a culture of managing toxic products or recycling, the mercury vapor that these bulbs possess is very harmful to the environment and living things, the government comes to realize after providing them to the population for more than 5 years. For 2013, the decision was made to replace other types of energy-saving devices such as LEDs that are more durable and environmentally friendly, such bulbs were granted to the population at no cost, changing those that were in the house for new ones.
The replacement policy was not maintained over time, nor were there any less populist strategies that would allow the acquisition for possible replacements, resulting in the return of incandescent bulbs
