RELATIONSHIP
Faith is not the right word for me.
I find that there is so much more to it.
Faith is a conviction,
that something is true or exists.
Still, for me, it's a relationship,
when it comes to faith.
Believing is assuming something without being able to rely on evidence.
Yes, just like someone blind,
completely blindly trust his word.
Still, isn't that only possible if you get to experience a relationship?
Blind trust occurs in relationships,
but usually only after many, many years.
A relationship as a promise, assured of eternal loyalty.
Tell me honestly: “how often does this happen to you”?
It's a rare, all-risk guarantee feeling.
Faith is much more than religion,
that's actually what I mean.
Often I have to hear:
“I'll probably lose my old life completely”.
But it is,
that this investment provides a relationship that delights in everything.
Just like you can now blindly trust,
on a really close friend's relationship.
That's what it feels like with Jesus,
even though we didn't deserve it.
