Tight skin, full lips and emphatic cheekbones: Instagram and affordable cosmetic procedures make young women look identical all over the world. Kim Kardashian's face is for sale, just in the Netherlands. At Filler House, in the South Holland Maasdam, you pay 950 euros to look like the internet celebrity. The clinic's site features the content of the Kim Kardashian package, consisting of a series of injections of temporary fillers, listed as a shopping list:
“This is what young girls want,” says Claudia Jacobs, the clinic's owner. “Tight skin, full lips and such large cheekbones that your face gets a diamond shape.” She sells three or four packages of this kind per week. It's a procedure that you can have during your lunch break so to speak. “Within an hour, you'll be outside again.” It's also called the Instagram face, this new beauty ideal. It consists of high eyebrows, feline eyes with long eyelashes, large, sharp cheekbones, a small nose, thick lips and tight, smooth skin, pore-free.
More and more young women travel abroad v for a cosmetic procedure. In the programme Ewout, presenter Ewout follows 20-year-old Dania and 19-year-old Rosalie who travelled to Turkey for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). He also looks along with the organization iMed, a doctor-patient mediator, who also arranges the hotel and transport for the trip abroad. Ewout discovers that there may be major risks associated with surgery abroad and that things can go badly wrong.

Alarm about risks of 'beautifying' fillers Doctors, cosmetic surgeons and experts raise the alarm about the massive use of fillers because it is not clear what the long-term effects of spraying lips and wrinkles are. Women, young girls and men who want to make themselves a little more beautiful are at risk of improper treatments and harmful reactions from the body to the substances administered, they say.
