That country called the Netherlands, how can that 'silent disaster' continue to spread?
A country where every three minutes a child comes to the emergency room with a broken bone , often because it does not take care of itself properly. Where half a million children are overweight , some already have old-age sugar or are getting a stomach band. Where one out of six children never play outside , even though they often want to.
A country where half of the population hardly ever moves or sports. And that's why only 5,800 people die every year. Their hearts are shattered. Vascular systems clogged. Brain poorly circulated. The lining of blood vessels damaged — viruses that have free way to lungs, intestines, brain. They get cancer. Dementia. Clogged vessels. Heart attacks.
A country where the government says it wants to make people healthier by letting people exercise more. Sending thousands of sports coaches into neighborhoods. But where the national government ignores warnings from its own officials and a minister's personal ideology is always more important than whether policy really helps people.
