2. Gene Therapy for Hemoglobinopathies
Hemoglobinopathies are genetic disorders that affect the structure or production of the hemoglobin molecule. The most common hemoglobinopathies affect more than 330 thousand children born around the world every year, to overcome this disorder, an experimental gene therapy has been discovered that gives those who suffer from it the potential ability to produce functional hemoglobin molecules, reducing the presence of ineffective red blood cells for prevent associated complications.

3. New Drug for Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
In people with multiple sclerosis (MS), the immune system attacks the protective greasy myelin covering nerve fibers.
