The Amazing World of the Octopus
The octopus is a fascinating and mysterious creature that lives deep in the oceans.Not a fish but a mollusk that belongs to the class Cephalopoda, which means “head-feet”. Difference between an octopus and a squid
Although the terms octopus and squid are often used interchangeably, they refer to different animals within the class Cephalopoda. Octopuses belong to the order Octopoda and have eight arms. Squids, which belong to the order Teuthida, have eight arms and two longer tentacles. Both animals are highly intelligent and have ink glands that allow them to emit a dark liquid as a defense mechanism.
