#venezuela Let's solve this as civilized people. The arepa is Colombian or Venezuelan?
This is a common dispute on social media between the people of our sister country and us.
But I must tell you that when I tried the arepa that the Bogotanos do, I realized that there is no absolute comparison with the arepa made in Vzla.
In Colombia the arepa is made in firewood and in Venezuela we do it in budare. The taste is completely different.
In Colombia the flour is almost whole corn, in Venezuela it is processed maize flour.
In Colombia they eat it with butter and salt on the arepa (I felt it very salty)
And we put everything inside.
The original arepa is made with Harina Pan, produced by Alimentos Polar, a Venezuelan factory that has its origin in the 1800s and so much and that was scattered around the world taking our tradition everywhere.
This flour is made with corn from our own land and manufactured by Venezuelan hands.
The arepa can be eaten stuffed with whatever you want and will always be a good companion for soups and vegetables.
So I ask you. do you think the arepa is from Venezuela or from Colombia?
Although to tell you the truth. arepa is my favorite food, I prepare them every day for breakfast this or not in my country because it is part of my roots.

It tells some stories that the corn used was from our land because in colombia they did not harvest corn and they made arepas with another product until after the arrival of the spaniards. but the arepa is Venezuelan 😋😋😋😋 the best arepa.
