The Battle is Not Yours But God's
As a believer, you may experience hardships in your walk with God. This should not discourage you because the battle is not yours but God’s.
Problems may come knocking at your door; right, left and center. Because, accepting Christ as Lord and saviour of your life declares war with satan and his kingdom of darkness.
Definitely, the devil and his demons come after you with guns blazing.
Their mission clear; to steal, kill and destroy.
The devil is out to no good. He has nothing good to offer. Only Christ gives good things and restores what the evil one destroys. He died for us so that we can have abundant life.
What does God Mean When He Says The Battle Is Not Yours
This earth is full of trouble which anyone may encounter, because it is a fallen world that labour in pain and suffering.
But God promises to be with you during trials and tribulations. Therefore, hold on to these promises and let Him fight for you since the battle is not yours but God’s. He honours His word which He has exhalted above His names. (Psalms 138:2)
As a child of God, you have assured victory over all demonic powers through Jesus Christ who has overcome the world.
Thus, submit all your problems unto God and let Him handle them for you. Trust Him to give you peace and grace in the midst of any storm you may be going through. He will not let your problems or advarsaries to destroy or consume you.
All those battles, Jesus Christ already won on the cross and made you more than a conqueror.
The Christ in you is greater than all your pursuers. (1 John 4:4)
Always carry Christ who gives you power over all evil spirit.
When faced with challenges in life, don’t fear as God told Joshua in Joshua 1:9.
Therefore, be courageous and believe that God is with you and that He will never leave nor forsake you.
Lift your eyes to the Lord, your help.(Psalms 121:1-2)
In Psalms 121, God assures to help those that seek Him.
He promises to watch over them, day and night because, He never sleeps nor slumbers.
What Does 2 Chronicles 20 Teach Us?
King Jehoshaphat, of Judah, turned to God for help when the Moabites, Ammonites and people of Mount Seir conspired to fight him and his people.
He declared a fast in the land to consult God who had brought their forefathers from Egypt and promised to save them when they cried out to Him. This is recorded in 2 Chronicles 20:4.
He acknowledged that without God they couldn’t fight the mighty armies that waged war against them.
God, being a covenant keeping God, heard them and told them not be afraid of their enemies because the battle was not theirs but His to fight for them. (2 Chronicles 20:15). Confidently, they went into the battlefield singing praises to the Lord for His everlasting mercies.
This moved the heart of God and he stirred confusion in the camps of their opponents that caused them to fight amongst themselves.
When the king and his army arrived, the enemies had completely destroyed and killed each other.
That’s what God requires of you when faced with trouble. To confidently trust in His power and His promises. And He will go ahead of you, roll over the stones and destroy all your foes. You emerge victorious through revelation of; who God is, who you are in Christ and who the enemy is.
Who is God?
The Lord strong and mighty in battle who has never lost any battle. He is able to fight for you when you leave the battle to Him. His power is above every power, dominion and principalities.
Who Are You In Christ?
You are a child of the Almighty God. Through Him, you have power and authority over every power of satan.
Who is The Enemy?
He is a thief, who wants to steal your blessings, joy and peace.
A killer, who wants to kill your dreams and ambitions.
A destroyer, who wants to destroy your marriage, career, education and everything good in your lives.
Therefore, always seek the face of God for direction with humility. Seek His will in every matter. Pray for His protection.
Praise and worship Him in truth and in spirit both in good and in bad times.
God is Spirit and He requires true worshipers. Not hypocrites who put up a performance so as to be seen and praised by their fellow human beings but those who are genuinely willing to pour themselves out as living sacrifices. Therefore, get rid of any sort of hypocrisy and humbly come before His throne of grace with a broken and concrete spirit. Allow Him to take full control of your life and use you for His glory.
Remind Him of His promises. Understand the promises of God and faithfully declare them over your life everyday. No matter what you may be experiencing speak blessings over yourself. Whether its sickness, declare that by the stripes of Christ you are healed. (Isiah 53:5). If it’s financial difficulties declare that God will supply all your needs according to His riches through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:19), because all silver and gold belong to Him. (Haggai 2:8)
Surrender everything to Him and trust that He will help you. Have no doubt about His abilities because He is supreme and no power supersedes Him. Nothing is impossible for Him and He can solve every problem that you may face. Acknowledge that He is your only God and the only one able to help you.
And God, being faithful, will fight your wars and make you triumph over all your adversaries. Whatever you need He will provide for you as He wishes.
Surrender all your cares and burdens to Him and completely trust Him. May the Lord of hosts fight and contend with all that fight and contend with you. #hope #trustinGod #Christianity #inspiration watch video https://youtu.be/_oId46BwMGA
