The cassette of memories = The cassette of memories

Summary: starring Gemma Brooke Allen and produced by Netflix in 2021, it presents the story of Beverly Moody, who on the eve of Y2K, year 2000, being an orphan, lonely and rare 12-year-old girl, tries to learn more about her family past, in this action, she recovers a broken tape in which her teenage parents recorded songs that they liked. Raised by her grandmother Gail (Julie Bowen), who was also a teenage mother and who is very painful to talk about her late daughter. Beverly sees the cassette as an opportunity to learn more about her parents.
So go on a journey of adventures, to search for all those songs. In the course of them, she becomes friends with Ellen (Audrey Hsieh), her peculiar neighbor; her classmate Nicky (Olga Petsa), intimidating and rude; and Anti, a friend and person “anti-everything”, a record store worker, who will be the key to finding the songs and renewing the bond between Gail and Beverly.
The cassette of memories garnered positive comments in the press. The criticism describes it as a moving and well-developed story. The script is not very deep, but part of its charm is found in simplicity. The film, in addition to being emotional, is reflective of family relationships, especially those families who have gone through this type of experience, so I recommend it. #reviewed
