The catasetum orchid has a distinctive appearance and grows on the bark of the palm tree or between its branches.
Although she has no nectar, she manages to attract the euglossini bees to her.
The orchid does this with a special sweetish scent. This is because it is the same scent that the female euglossini bees give off.
Of course, the males cannot resist that.
