The Cherokee are an indigenous Indian tribe from the Southeastern United States.
They believe that the Creator has given them a gift of understanding on the one hand and medicinal herbs on the other.
The Cherokee rely on the healing and preventive properties of nature's pharmacy.
Because a number of plants have become scarce throughout history, the Cherokee promotes some of its own collection techniques. For example, when collecting, you can only pick the third plant you find.
This ensures that there are plenty of specimens left to reproduce further.

Here are some medicinal plants that were often used by the Cherokee tribe.

1. Blackberry.

For the Cherokee, the blackberry is the oldest cure for stomach upset.
But this herb can be used against almost anything.
A strong tea from the root of the blackberry helps reduce swelling of tissues and joints.
A decoction of the roots, sweetened with honey or maple syrup, provides an excellent cough syrup.
Even chewing on the leaves of the blackberry softens bleeding gums.

I really liked the publication, I think our ancestors worked with their herbs, even today many medicines use it, so nature gives us a great contribution
